DSP Hourly Wage Increase Effective January 1st , 2020

All DSP will see an increase in hourly wages on January 1st, 2020.

Duties of the Direct Support Professional include:

  • Provide support to individuals to achieve their personal goals and meet their needs and desires
  • Maintain the supports of the individuals served by providing choices of activities, work and living arrangements
  • Assist individuals with completion of activities of daily living and community integration.
  • Plan menus with the individuals’ input
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment for individuals served
  • Supervise and/or administer medications and treatments
  • Coordinate individuals’ medical appointments and follow-up

Experience: No experience necessary, but experience in the human service field is beneficial. Persons over 21 with good driving record a plus

The House Manager is responsible for the day to day functioning of the home. They function as a
team leader and structure the daily shifts to ensure the consumers receive the highest quality of
care possible. The House Manager will supervise staff in the households, ensuring scheduling is
appropriate for the individual’s needs, replace staff as needed, facilitate staff meetings, and
complete necessary paperwork, among other duties assigned by the Designated Coordinator.

40 hours/week, The House Managers hours may change to meet the needs of the clients, must be
flexible.

The House Manager needs to be innovated, flexible, organized, able to balance many tasks at one
time, and have a take charge attitude. PREFERRED TO BE A CLO DRIVER.

Registered Nurse – RN  CLO Southern Homes

POSITION TITLE:         Registered Nurse 

Compensation: 6 month wage increase followed by annual wage increases on Progressive Pay Scale, Yearly 1% Bonus, Paid training.
Other Compensation: Holidays paid, 401K. Medical insurance (30 hours/week. Dental, Life and Supplemental insurance, paid personal leave for full time (35 hours/week).

SUMMARY:                                    The Registered Nurse is responsible for the overall medical procedures for Community Living Options (CLO).

  • Educating and training all staff on proper medication administration, provide diabetic and insulin training, train staff on proper procedures for specialized medical equipment and medical devices.
  • Assist in creating training material.
  • On-call to advise staff regarding medical concerns and emergencies.
  • Informing staff of new pertinent medical alerts/developments.
  • Assist in development and final approval of CLO policy development and implementation related to individual care and supervision.
  • Responsible for compliance with all applicable employment laws, federal and state rules /regulations related to individual care.
  • Participate in pre admission screenings and planning meetings for individuals as needed/as requested, assist in the planning of the individual care plans related to health aspects.
  • Complete evaluation of individuals that have a significant change in the DISCUS results (change being 5 points from baseline).

 

QUALIFICATIONS:       RN license- experience in the field of group home setting helpful, but not required.  Must be an approved driver per CLO standards. Must meet state and Federal licensing guidelines by passing a background check. Must be able to negotiate stairs, lift 25+ pounds and be able to assist in transferring wheelchair bound individuals. 

HOURS:              Flexible, as needed.  On call as needed for emergency situations. On-call is defined as being available by telephone to answer/advise for any medical/emergency questions pertaining to individuals.
