Celebration of Life – March 3rd, 2019

There will be a Celebration of Life for Deb Bromley this Sunday evening, March 3rd from 5p-7p at Journey North Church in Pine City.

Deb Bromley
November 19, 1955- February 21 , 2019

On February 21 , 2019, Deb brought the bait and joined her Maker for the ultimate fishing trip. Deb was preceded in death by her mother and father, Evelyn and Robert, brother, Roy Bromley, canine soulmate, Jack, and many loved pets. She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Pedersen, nephew and nieces, her cherished animals, and many special friends. Deb’s strong personality taught us all how to live, laugh, and love unconditionally. Her love for fishing, compassion for animals, and her quick sharp wit, defined her beautiful soul. Thank you to North Memorial hospital and Palliative Care for providing comfort to her. Deb redefined the term “family” to include people of many shapes and sizes, abilities, and species all joined together by work (CLO), common interests, and love. A celebration of Deb’s life will be held at Journey North Church, 840 Main St. South, Pine City on Sunday, March 3, 2019. Services will begin at 5:00p with a gathering following. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Humane Society of Burnett County. “If ever there comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.”

Thanks for making the Staff Recognition Party a huge success and a great time. We had a large fun group despite the cold temps outside.

Special thanks to Alissa, Kris, Polly, Sheila, Holly, Jaime, Mandi, Marvin, Sheila, Bob and others for helping with all of the hauling of food, prizes and awards, the set up and clean up.

DSP Hire Longevity Bonus

Bonus at 6 month for Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff $250 full time/ $100 part time/relief

All new DSP hires are eligible at their 6 month hire date anniversary for a longevity bonus by meeting criteria for either full time status ($250 bonus) or part time/relief status ($100 bonus). Talk to your DC or the office for specific information.

Employee Referral Program

Earn more for referring new employee

Please keep in mind our New Employee Referral Program

If a new employee is actively recruited by a current employee, the referring employee receives a $ 25 bonus when the new employee completes their third week of work.

The referring employee also receives a $100 bonus when the referred employee maintains active employment status full time at 6 months or a $50 bonus if the referred employee is active part time at 6 months, based on a proportion of total hours worked for the 6 month period.

House Manager – North Branch 1   – Sunrise

HOUSE MANAGER POSITION POSTING
FOR Sunrise

There are high-functioning male Individual’s in this home, ages range in their later 20’s to early 40’s. One individual works in the community the other three attend a day program.

Duties: The House Manager is responsible for the day to day functioning of the home. They function as a team leader and structure the daily shifts to ensure the Individuals receive the highest quality of care possible. The House Manager will supervise staff in the households, ensuring scheduling is appropriate for the Individuals needs and replace staff as needed, facilitate staff meetings, complete necessary paper work, among other duties.

Hours: 40 hours/week, 18 hours a week on direct care in the home from 3pm to 9pm. Remainders of hours are designed as paper work time and staff interaction time which is also spent in the home. The House Manager needs to be flexible with hours to meet Individual’s needs. The House Manager is on call every 3rd weekend.

Qualifications: The House Manager needs to be innovative, flexible, organized, and able to balance many tasks at one time, and have a take charge attitude. Must be able to assist in restraint procedures and be able to negotiate stairs. Candidates must have a good work history, professional work references, and at least one-year experience with CLO preferred, but not required. Must be a CLO approved driver.

Hours: 40 hours/week, approximately 12 hours a week working direct care in the homes. Remainder of hours are designed as paper work time and staff interaction time which is also spent in the home. The House Manager needs to be flexible with hours to meet Individual’s needs. The House Manager is on call every 4th weekend.

Qualifications: The House Manager needs to be innovative, flexible, organized, and able to balance many tasks at one time, and have a take charge attitude. The candidate must be creative with scheduling as this is a very active home with community activities daily. An approved CLO Driver preferred, but not required. A good work history, professional work references, and at least one year experience with C.L.O preferred. Must be able to assist with restraint procedures and be able to negotiate stairs. Knowledge of diabetes preferred, but not required.
